AECO designs and builds large-format pellet-extrusion printers — bed sizes ten feet and up — and dedicates each one to a single customer's production run. Not shared capacity. Equipment built for your part.
Because AECO designs and manufactures its own equipment, we're not fitting your part onto a general-purpose machine somebody else built. When a run needs a specific bed size, feed rate, tolerance, or material handling setup, we build that machine — and it stays dedicated to your production for as long as the run continues.
That's the difference between a shop that owns a big printer and a shop that owns the printer's entire design.
It's backed by an in-house team of mechanical engineers and chemists — so a custom solution isn't just a machine tuned to your part, it's a material formulated for it too.
Most printers top out around a foot in any direction. Ours don't. From single-wall covers to solid, thick-walled geometries up to 8' in diameter, a standard shipping pallet and a full-height door fit inside a single AECO build volume with room to spare.
We don't do single prints. Every AECO machine is commissioned around a customer's recurring production run — the same part, the same spec, run after run, for as long as the contract runs.
No filament spools, no size ceiling. Here's the short version of how a dedicated run works.
We size and configure a printer around your specific geometry, tolerance, and volume — before the first part is ever made.
Raw resin pellets feed a gantry-mounted extruder that lays down continuous beads across the full plate, layer by layer, run after run.
Parts come off ready for finishing, coating, or assembly — and the machine stays configured to make the next one, and the next.
Materials: we run production across a wide material range — not one polymer forced to fit every job.
Need something outside this list? Our in-house chemists will develop the process for it — material development is part of standing up your dedicated machine, not a separate project.
AECO is a large-format additive manufacturing company based in Austin, Texas, designing and building our own printers for over a decade. Every machine we operate was built around a specific customer's production run — not adapted to fit one.
We make protective covers, consumer goods, tooling and molds, architectural pieces, art, interior design elements, home goods, and general manufacturing parts. Different categories, same model: a dedicated machine, a defined part, and a run that keeps going.
Part geometry, volume, cadence, material — whatever you've got. We'll tell you what a dedicated machine for it would look like.
